went camping this weekend and liked it except for 2 things noisy neighbors and a rude park ranger. overall the campground is well kept along w/ clean bathrooms, but that being said the campers who come to party should be told to keep it down by the park rangers usually we stay at state parks for this reason, that they keep the party's and drinking out. it is quite a drive from chehalis at least 16 mi, so buy what you need as no big stores close by. went to closest town of Pe Ell and everything was really overpriced.nice beautiful park w/ plenty of hiking trails throughout.
As a private residence, there is not much else to do but stand on the road and look at the house (unless you go during Astoria's Goonies Day each year.) The pictures are exactly what you will see when visiting the home but it is quite fun seeing it in person and being able to say "I've been there!" Remember, it's a private residence so be sure to park on the street and walk up the small hill to the house.
